Stranger Things - Season 4

DNEG delivered 290 shots for Season 4 of the epic Netflix series, Stranger Things. With strong storylines and performances alongside visually stunning camera and VFX work, this latest season was met with critical acclaim on release.

DNEG worked closely with the producers to create stunning visuals to reflect the filmmakers’ vision, evoking the drama of the rift between the normal world and the dark world of the ‘Upside Down’.

One of the key sequences that the DNEG team focused on was the lake-bed environment that played host to one of the series' most shocking scenes; a pulse-racing 1600 frame, relentless, minute-long bat attack sequence. To ensure that the scene felt as immersive as possible, the DNEG’s Creature Animation and Crowd teams collaborated closely to bring drama, peril and scale to the attack.
