Fourth Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award for ‘The Last of Us’
We had a blast bringing to life the TV adaptation of legendary video game ‘The Last of Us’ for HBO - and our team's work was recognised with a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Season Or A Movie', three VES Awards - two for their work on 'The Last of Us' and one for Netflix's 'Nyad', and two Indian National Film Awards for ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’.
We also launched DNEG IXP (Immersive Experience) and DNEG 360 (Development, Visualization, Virtual Production & Content Creation), and celebrated a significant investment of $200 million in the DNEG Group by UASG, accelerating our strategy of innovation and diversification.

Our 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' crew were honoured with a Visual Effects Society Award for 'Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode' for their incredible work on this landmark series.
DNEG honoured with seventh Oscar and seventh BAFTA for 'Dune: Part One', and the opening of our new Sydney studio
We were thrilled to be awarded with the Academy Award for ‘Best VFX’ and BAFTA Award for ‘Best Special Visual Effects’ for ‘Dune, our second collaboration with Director Denis Velleneuve.
And DNEG Sydney, our tenth global studio, opened its doors - located in Pyrmont near Darling Harbour in Sydney.

Our VFX work on 'Tenet', our seventh collaboration with Director Christopher Nolan, was recognised with the Academy Award for 'Best VFX' and the BAFTA Award for 'Best Special Visual Effects'. We continued to expand our team in India with the opening of DNEG Bangalore, and in Canada with DNEG Toronto, and we celebrated an investment of $250 million from Novator Capital Advisors.

We were over the moon to collaborate with Director Damien Chazelle on 'First Man' and to bring home the Academy Award for 'Best VFX' and a VES Award for 'Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature'.
And our Episodic team was honoured with a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award for 'Chernobyl', alongside two VES Awards: for 'Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role for ‘Chernobyl’ and for ‘Outstanding Effects Simulations in an Episode, Commercial, or Real-Time Project’ for ‘Altered Carbon'.

Fourth Oscar win, fourth BAFTA for 'Blade Runner 2049', a BAFTA TV Craft Award for 'Black Mirror Season 4', and the opening of our Montréal studio
Our first collaboration with Director Dennis Villeneuve on 'Blade Runner 2049' brought us an Academy Award for ‘Best VFX’, a BAFTA Award for ’Best Special Visual Effects’, and a VES Award for ‘Outstanding Created Environment in a Photoreal Feature’. Our VFX team on Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ also scooped a VES for 'Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature'.
Our Episodic team's outstanding work was also recognised with a BAFTA TV Craft Award for 'Special, Visual and Graphic Effects' for 'Black Mirror: Season 4 - Metalhead'.
And at the end of the year we celebrated the opening of our second Canadian studio in Montreal.

Our expansion in North America continued with the opening of a new studio in Los Angeles, bringing us even closer to our clients and filmmaking partners.

We were over the moon to bring home the Academy Award for ‘Best VFX’ for Alex Garland's 'Ex Machina’.
And to top it off, we opened new studios in the vibrant Indian cities of Mumbai and Chennai.

In July 2014 Prime Focus World merged with Double Negative to create DNEG.

We moved from Soho into our new London headquarters in Fitzrovia, just a few minutes walk away from Regent's Park.
We also celebrated a BAFTA win for Best Special Visual Effects for Warner Bros.’ magical ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’.

Our work on the critically acclaimed ‘Inception’, our third collaboration with Director Christopher Nolan, was recognised with an Academy Award for 'Best VFX', a BAFTA Award for 'Best Special Visual Effects', and VES Awards for 'Outstanding Compositing in a Feature Motion Picture', 'Outstanding Created Environment in a Live Action Feature Motion Picture', and 'Outstanding VFX in a VFX Driven Feature Motion Picture'.

Double Negative (now DNEG) first opened its doors in 1998 in Soho, London. Founded by a small group of industry professionals, the studio has grown from a small team in London to many thousands worldwide.
