An American astronaut struggles with leaving her husband and daughter behind to embark on a dangerous mission with an international space crew.

DNEG primarily worked on episodes one and two of this 10-part series. In the first episode, our brief was to not only introduce a spectacular base on the moon, but to also launch a rocket from the base later in the episode. The second episode features a dangerous walk in space. Our work involved the blending of a small practical set into a massive CG environment including the construction of the spacecraft itself – not to mention the addition of digi doubles, zero G objects, as well as the augmentation of space suits with CG visors and reflections.
